How It Works!

1. Invisible heat layer. A thin, clear heating film sits inside the lens. You look straight through it.

2. Warmer than your breath. Fog forms when warm, wet air hits a cold lens. The film keeps the inner lens warmer, so condensation has a much harder time forming.

3. Power in the frame. The rechargeable battery sits inside the frame. No cord, no strap pack. Charge it by USB-C.

What's Included!

Each goggle ships with: 1 heated goggle with magnetic outer lens, 1 USB-C charging cable, 1 protective case, 1 quick-start card.

Spare magnetic lenses (Red, Ice Blue, Purple, Silver, Transparent) can be added at checkout.

Rider reviews

Real Riders. Real Mountain Days.

Built for the lift line, the weather and a full day on the mountain.

Rider wearing NIVAL heated goggles

Gaiter up on the lift, lens still clear

I breathe into my gaiter the whole chairlift ride. My old pair fogged every single time. The heated lens stays warm and the view just stays open. I don't fiddle with them anymore.

Comfortable from first chair to last

The battery sits inside the frame so there is no cord or pack. Charged the night before and wore them 9 to 4 under my helmet with no pressure points. The fit is really good.

New light? New lens.

Started on the clear lens in the flat morning light and swapped to the purple mirror lens when the sun came out. Took me a few seconds with gloves on. Really well designed.

Why goggles fog

It's not your goggles. It's physics.

Warm, wet air from your breath and skin hits a lens that is colder than it is. That moisture turns to water droplets. That's fog.

Coatings, vents and fans only slow that down. NIVAL goes after the cause: a heated inner lens that stays warmer than your breath, so moisture has nowhere to settle.

Think of your car's rear window defroster, built into your goggles.

Get yours

Warms the lens, not your face. Clears inside fog only. Snow and ice on the outer lens still need a wipe.

  • Charge fully the night before you ride.
  • Don't charge below freezing. Let it warm up first.
  • The goggle doesn't heat while it's charging.
  • Air dry after riding, outside the case. Never on a heater.
  • Blot snow off. Don't wipe the inside of the lens while it's wet.
  • Keep the USB-C cover closed on the mountain.
  • Flying? Lithium batteries usually go in your carry-on.
  • Stop using it if the frame is damaged or swollen.
  • Off-season: top up the battery about once a month.

Questions

Straight answers.

How does a heated lens stop fog?

Fog is condensation. Warm, wet air from your face hits a lens that is colder than it is and turns to droplets. A thin heating film inside the lens keeps it warmer than your breath, so that moisture has a much harder time forming. It works like your car's rear window defroster.

Will it warm my face?

No. It warms the lens, not your face. You won't feel heat on your skin.

How long does the battery last?

It has a 2000 mAh battery that charges by USB-C in about 2.5 hours, and a quick press of the button shows how much is left. Expect 5 to 12 hours per charge, depending on how cold it is and how much the heat is running. Charge it fully the night before each ski day.

Does it clear snow and ice on the outside of the lens?

No. The heat works on the inner lens, where fog forms. Snow, rain or ice on the outside still needs a wipe.

Can I wear it with glasses?

We don't recommend wearing NIVAL over prescription glasses. The heated lens warms the goggle lens only, so it won't keep glasses underneath clear.

Does it fit with a helmet?

Yes. The frame is cut to sit under a helmet brim and the silicone-grip strap holds on helmet shells.

Is there a battery pack on the strap?

No. The battery is sealed inside the frame. There is no cord, strap pack or pocket battery.

Can I swap the lens?

Yes. The outer lens is magnetic, so it snaps off and a spare snaps on in seconds. The heated inner lens stays in the goggle. You can add a spare lens in Red, Ice Blue, Purple, Silver or Transparent when you order.

When will my order ship?

Orders are processed in 1 to 3 business days and ship with free tracking in the US. You'll get a tracking link by email as soon as it ships.

What if I don't love it?

You're covered by our 60-day money-back guarantee. Email us within 60 days of delivery and we'll make it right with a full refund.

Does it protect my eyes from UV?

Yes. The lens has UV protection and an anti-scratch coating.

Can I fly with it?

It contains a small lithium battery, which airlines usually ask you to keep in carry-on. Check your airline's rules before you travel.

Finally a goggle that survives the lift

Wore these three days at Breck with my gaiter up the whole time. My old pair fogged every single chair ride. These stayed completely clear. Best upgrade I've made to my setup.

Jake M.Verified purchaseRed lens

Comfortable from first chair to last

Fits great over my helmet and the foam is really soft. Charged it the night before and it lasted the whole day with the heat on. Didn't think about my goggles once.

Sarah K.Verified purchaseIce Blue lens

Magnetic lens swap is the best part

Started on the clear lens in flat light and switched to the purple at lunch. Takes a few seconds. No cord on the strap is a big deal for me.

Marcus T.Purple lens

Easy to use, even with gloves

One press and the heat comes on. Lens clarity is excellent and it never fogged, even on a snowy morning with my gaiter up. Really happy with these.

Dana R.Verified purchaseSilver lens

No more wiping on the chair

I run hot and usually fog up after one hard lap. Not with these. Charges off my phone cable at night which is easy.

Chris L.Red lens

Great view, love the wide lens

Super wide view and zero fog all day. The battery is built into the frame so there's nothing on the strap. Would buy again.

Emily W.Verified purchaseTransparent lens

Best investment for winter gear

After years of fogging up on every ride, these are a game changer. The heat really does prevent condensation and the clarity is incredible.

Tyler B.Verified purchaseRed lens

Love the lens swap feature

The magnetic lens system is so quick. Changed from clear to purple mid-run and it took less than 10 seconds. Battery life is solid too.

Rachel P.Verified purchasePurple lens

Perfect for Colorado conditions

Rode in -10 degree weather with heavy snow. These never fogged, battery lasted 8 hours with heat on medium. Finally a goggle that handles real mountain weather.

Mike H.Silver lens

Finally no more fog breaks

I used to have to stop and defog every few runs. These eliminated that completely. Worth every penny if you ski more than a few days a year.

Jessica M.Verified purchaseIce Blue lens

Charges fast, lasts all day

USB-C charging means I can top up with my phone cable at lunch. Full charge gets me through the whole day no problem. Clean integrated design.

Brian K.Verified purchaseRed lens

Great wide view

The frameless design gives you such a wide peripheral view. Love the magnetic lens system too. Shaving the one star because the strap could be a bit more adjustable.
